Week 21
This week Simon finished the dialog system. The dialog tree structures that I wrote for our editor, IAM (our adventure editor), can now be used directly in the game. A few routines still have to be interfaced between IAM and the game and then we'll be ready to start work on the adventure game play, some time in the next two weeks if all goes well.
Hakim has practically finished camera management in our graphics editor, GEM. So he should very soon be able to start programming the visual effects e.g. water, fire, rain, animated maps, etc. And Antoine is making progress with our animation editor. This week he'll be interfacing it with the game and adding the second player to the combat.
The graphics crew have now finished Neighborhood 2. Edouard, Eric and Pierre are starting work on the interior decors of Section 2 of the adventure. And Natalie will be installing the urban dressing e.g. benches, garbage bins, vegetation, as well as signs like billboards, advertising, shop signs, etc. in Neighborhoods 1 and 2. Neighborhood 3 is well on the way and should be finished in about ten days.

Tony is busy integrating new Motion Capture animations every day. The quantity and quality of this animations will surely contribute greatly to the visual impact of the game. The animation of the strip tease artist should impress quite a few!
The scenario has now reached a pretty much definitive form. But it will no doubt undergo further changes when we begin to enter it into the game.
